Issue 33 – April 2023
We’ve wrapped up the first quarter of 2023 with some exciting activity in North Jersey. INTECH has been engaged for pre-construction on a $100 M residential project, Four Corners Paramount, as well as a new charter school, both in Newark, NJ.
Just as exciting is the approximately $70 million in new awards in the first quarter, thanks to major contributors Germantown Friends School Commons and Center for the Arts and the Elmwood Park Zoo Visitor’s Center and Animal Hospital. The Elmwood Park Zoo win has nearly tripled our annual goal for the cultural sector and doubled the cuddle factor from the giraffe snuggles the team has been getting. We are also well on our way to exceeding our goal in education, a market that saw little growth over the past few years, due to the pandemic.
Renovations and Interiors continue to impress us by building out INTECH’s strong life sciences resume with the Cira Centre Vivarium project, and new office fit-outs for Francis Cauffman Architects and The Lighting Practice.
So far, the bid and proposal activity has outpaced each of last year’s quarters, causing both optimism and higher caffeine intake in pre-con and marketing. Looking ahead, we are hopeful for significant growth in the life sciences sector with both 3801 Chestnut and 3838 Market in active pre-construction, along with several large lab fit-outs from Renovations and Interiors. Nice work all around.
