The Plymouth Meeting Best Buy store required complete construction, from footings through retail store fit-out, including coordination with utilities, state, and local agencies. Special issues included partial building construction due to a utility/road conflict at rear footing line, sinkhole remediation at main entrance, and extensive changes from tenant prototype mid-way through construction. At the Springfield Best Buy, logistical challenges included adjacent occupied residential, motel, and restaurant buildings with minimal access for construction vehicles on the western, northern and southern property lines. Further, the new storm sewer system design was modified to solve an existing drainage problem along the north and west sides of the site.
