The Pennovation Lab is a scientifically advanced multi-tenant lab and office building, nestled in the Pennovation Works complex adjacent to the University of Pennsylvania campus. The project includes abatement of an existing 4-story structure with complete interior demolition, new north and east façades, and a new building system infrastructure compliant with laboratory requirements. An upgraded elevator in an existing shaft and a new elevator addition complete the core and shell renovation.

An incubator for industry and innovation in the Philadelphia area for over 200 years, the site continues its colorful history with the modern addition of the Pennovation Lab. Intended to achieve LEED Silver status, the building embraces Pennovation Works’ mission to align and integrate researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs for the commercialization of research discoveries.
