The Cooper Street Gateway project will revitalize 14 vacant historic properties and several vacant lots along the 400 block of Cooper and Lawrence Streets, transforming them into a vibrant new facility. While the university is eager to begin construction, ensuring the preservation of the historic buildings and any potential artifacts uncovered during the process remains a top priority.

The scope of the project includes the partial demolition of existing structures to merge seven standalone buildings into a unified facility. The three-story building will feature a historic renovation, including a restored façade and roof replacement, as well as the interior fit-out of administrative office spaces.
