Science History Institute

Project Description

The Science History Institute is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing the origin of ideas and innovations that impact our daily lives. Their two critically acclaimed podcasts, recorded in-house, needed space to grow and accommodate new functions. INTECH undertook selective demolition of 3,526 square feet of museum archive space and built a new podcast recording studio and a new photography studio within the basement of the Science History Institute. Construction occurred within the occupied museum with careful planning and coordination. New dedicated air-handling units and acoustical protections were integral in creating a high-performing technical space.
