Spark Therapeutics needed additional space for their rapidly expanding company. The renovation of the 5th and 6th floors of the Cira Centre comprised six phases, allowing the client to remain in their offices during construction. INTECH made a significant effort before construction to map out the logistics plan to keep the Spark employees working in their offices without any interruption. Because the sixth floor was shared by multiple tenants, security and temporary barricades were challenges that INTECH had to address. INTECH worked off hours in the elevator lobbies and corridors to create a finished space during one weekend, realizing a space for neighboring tenants that did not look like a construction zone. The scope of work included adding almost 20 additional private offices, some of which were designed for future flexibility. A large glass wall and custom millwork for multiple cafés, kitchenettes, and wellness rooms were coordinated for fabrication and seamless installation. Custom wallcoverings, fabric acoustic panels, a new white noise system, paint, resilient flooring, and carpet were introduced throughout the two-floor fit-out.
