General contracting and construction management firm INTECH Construction announced two new director roles. Longtime INTECH estimator and pre-construction department veteran Brad Ryals has been named Director of Pre-Construction Services for the company.

Former INTECH employee Tom Hajek has returned to the firm as Director of Healthcare Services, leading a new INTECH division focused on expanding the company’s project workload in the healthcare market. The new roles emphasize INTECH’s continuing growth and strategic leadership development and come on the heels of Phil Moses’ recent promotion to President.

“Brad has worked with INTECH continuously since he was a college student. Where other co-ops prefer the excitement of construction management, Brad early on demonstrated his aptitude for budgets and scheduling,” said Moses. “He quickly grew into an accomplished estimator and pre-construction leader, building a reputation within the company and the local construction community for accuracy, detail, and integrity. His is a well-deserved promotion and we look forward to his continued success.”

“INTECH has always had a very strong pre-construction department and I’m honored to have been part of it since I started as a co-op during college,” explained Ryals. “I am enthusiastic about leading such a talented and passionate group of individuals. I also recognize how important my INTECH mentors have been to my journey. I look forward to mentoring the next generations of estimators as we continue to service clients, collaborate with design professionals, and maintain and grow relationships with subcontractors.”

Ryals joined INTECH in 2005 while attending Drexel University. He joined INTECH full-time in 2008 after earning his B.S. in Civil Engineering. Over the past 14 years, he has contributed to the pre-construction department as an estimator and team leader. He focuses on project development and oversees INTECH’s team of specialty estimators. Ryals’ experience covers a range of project types and delivery methods, including design/build.

“Tom started his career as an INTECH project manager, demonstrating solid construction leadership and his ability to focus on overall project goals while managing the details. We are thrilled that he has returned with deeper healthcare construction experience and richer perspective,” said Moses. “As INTECH advances in the healthcare market, Tom’s hiring at a director level solidifies our presence and leadership in the field. We look forward to how he shapes this growing market.”

“I am very excited to start this new chapter in my career and eager to bring my healthcare expertise to INTECH,” said Hajek. “INTECH is a preeminent builder in the region with an excellent reputation and fantastic company structure. I am eager to grow the brand further into the healthcare sector.”

Hajek worked for INTECH from 2005-2015 as a project manager, during which time he led significant projects for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, William Penn Charter School, and Curtis Institute of Music. He returned to the firm to lead INTECH’s healthcare division, bringing previous project experience for the University of Pennsylvania Health System, Holy Redeemer Hospital, and Main Line Health. He holds a B.S. in Business Management with a concentration in Finance from the University of Vermont.
