The IATSE 8 project included construction of a new 10,000 SF one-story training, education and banquet facility. The project featured metal panel and CMU-faced exterior walls and a green roof the size of the entire footprint of the building.
International Alliance of Theater Stage Workers is a Union for workers responsible for set design and construction for stage, television, and movie productions. This new facility serves as a training, meeting, and conference space for the Union. The increase in movie and television productions in the Philadelphia market drove the demand for this new facility.
