Housing the Upper School, Middle School, and Science Center for The Episcopal Academy’s new campus, the Academic Building is a three-story classroom facility for the school’s 6th through 12th grade students. Sited next to the Lower School, and across the Campus Green from the Campus Center, the Academic Building accommodates the diverse needs of a lively student body.

The building contains 52 classrooms, 12 science and technology labs, a study hall, formal Honor Hall, and a functional greenhouse that is a learning laboratory for the students. Each classroom contains extensive audio/visual capabilities, including plasma TVs.

INTECH’s team led a major effort to coordinate the details of the building’s exterior, which was comprised of a large number of components. Materials included two different styles of fiberglass siding, natural stone, decorative CMU, punched windows, curtain wall, metal panels, and composite veneer wood panels. Solutions were developed proactively and reviewed in a collaborative manner with the design team.

“Your leadership and project managers were very responsive to our needs, you delivered our campus on time, and together we have created a new home for Episcopal Academy that we can all take pride in. We are very pleased to have worked with INTECH and are grateful for your attention to detail.”
