Size: 365,000 SF / 120 acres
Client: The Episcopal Academy
Architect: RMJM, Gund Partnership, Bohlin Cywinski Jackson

The Episcopal Academy is an independent college preparatory school. Recognizing the limitations of its original campuses in Merion and Devon and the need to consolidate them into a single location, Episcopal acquired 120 acres in Delaware County, necessitating a masterplan for the new campus.

INTECH completed four major buildings on the campus, that opened in late August 2008. The new Academic Building houses the Middle School, Science Center, and Upper School. The Athletic Center contains a competition gym, fieldhouse, squash courts, and competition swimming pool. The Campus Center holds an auditorium/theater, dining hall, kitchen, classrooms, and library, while the Lower School houses the elementary school classrooms, library, and gym. INTECH also constructed (3) playing fields for football, baseball, softball, lacrosse, and soccer, and (14) tennis courts.

“Building a brand new campus of seven buildings on 123 acres is a daunting task, but a task that was made much easier by hiring INTECH … We are very pleased to have worked with INTECH.”
