The Independence Park Hotel project is a historic building restoration and full interior renovation to Philadelphia’s first historic boutique hotel. Damaged by fire from an adjacent building, the building was completely gutted to the base structure of exterior walls and floor system. Construction allowed for 41 renovated guest rooms, a new prep kitchen and dining area, private conference rooms, and a new elevator system to meet accessibility standards.

The historic building has been a fixture in Olde City since 1856 when it was a doll manufacturing business. Careful restoration efforts brought the building back to its original grandeur while the interior underwent structural repairs with new wall construction and upgraded MEP systems.
