Architect: Floss Barber

Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel is a repeat client as INTECH completed their fit-out 20 years ago at Suburban Station in Philadelphia. In August of 2015, Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel was looking to relocate their Philadelphia headquarters, and again came to INTECH. We started by providing conceptual budgets for their new facility at 1500 Market Street that consisted of two full floors in the east tower and a mail center located in the concourse level of the east tower.

The project included selective demolition and renovation including revitalization of the interconnecting stair between the 33rd and 34th floors. The schedule was compressed and close coordination was needed, due to long-lead items such as Decoustics ceilings throughout the reception and stair areas, large porcelain tile in the elevator lobbies and reception area, metal and glass rails around the stairs, and etched glass walls at the boardroom and conference rooms. As part of the project, two new elevator stops were added connecting the concourse directly to the 33rd and 34th floors.

With shift work, overtime, and a strong push at the end, the client was able to accelerate their furniture deliveries and the job was completed on time, saving Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel substantial hold- over penalties.

“Throughout the construction process, INTECH was responsive to our needs, diligent in adhering to our designer’s plans and specifications, and reasonable in our dealings, INTECH “kept us in the loop” at all times. Since we took occupancy, we have heard nothing but positive comments from our lawyers and staff regarding the quality of our new space. We highly recommend INTECH to anyone who may be contemplating a similar project.”
