This new contemporary museum is located between, and in full view of, the National Constitution Center, Independence Hall, and the Liberty Bell Pavilion on the premier corner of Fifth and Market Streets. The landmark building houses the Museum’s exhibitions and programs, and serves a diverse audience of more than 250,000 visitors each year.
Designed by Polshek Partnership Architects, currently known as Ennead Architects, the museum was completed in November 2010. INTECH provided complex Pre-Construction services for more than a year, while concurrently demolishing the former KYW/CBS3 studios on the site. Located at one of the most pedestrian- and traffic-heavy intersections in Philadelphia, this project required intense safety coordination, including maintaining an operational SEPTA entrance.
