This project consisted of the demolition of interior finishes and selected MEP utilities in the former Daffy’s department store, an eight-story building located at 17th and Chestnut Streets. The scope of work also included new construction, including partitions, finishes, and upgrades to MEP systems. Exterior work included repair of adjacent sidewalks, stone façade, storefront windows, and the existing entry gates and revolving doors. The scope also added a new entrance for the upper floors, as well as rough-in work to allow the future installation of a monumental communicating stair from the ground to the third floor. This project prepared the building for a retail tenant fit-out in the basement through third floors, while the upper floors are earmarked for potential residences.
