4519 Chestnut Street is a new multi-family residential development in the University City neighborhood of Philadelphia. Consisting of six stories, the U-shaped building will include 327 units and 92 parking spots. Dedicated charging stations for electric vehicles, 154 parking spots for bicycles, and proximity to Philadelphia’s Market-Frankford El line, means that residents will have many options for transit. The development shares a block with the historic West Catholic Preparatory High School, and includes subtle architectural features of color and texture to pay tribute to the neighboring building’s aesthetic using a contemporary palette.
The project includes many street trees, as well as a public pocket park along Chestnut Street. The park will serve as both welcome open garden space for the neighborhood, and as an amenity for the building’s residents. Additional amenities will include a fitness studio, co-working space, a game room, interior bike storage, and a rooftop patio.
