Size: 10,500 SF
Client: Brandywine Realty Trust
Architect: Olaya Studio
Completion: September 2017

The project at 2104-06 Market Street was a complete façade replacement on the front and rear elevations of an existing building. The original 1900-era brick façade was shored and completely removed and replaced with new brick, curtainwall, and metal panels. The roof was extended on both elevations and an outdoor terrace was added at the rear of the third floor.

On the interior, all existing finishes were gutted for renovation. The existing wood structure was sandblasted, cleaned, and sealed, and the interior brick was repaired and pointed. New floors were installed using reclaimed wood, and an ornamental stair, which included reclaimed wood treads, was installed on the Market Street elevation.

The renovation also included all new systems for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, as well as the addition of an elevator.
