The new American Bible Society space at Independence Hall will bring to life an underutilized ground floor of an office building at the corner of 4th and Market Streets. To aid in the renovation of the current space, INTECH is providing construction management services for the façade and exterior renovation for the project. Currently recessed from the sidewalk to create a covered walkway, the new curtainwall will be relocated to the existing property line, nearly doubling the interior space on the east end of the ground floor. The project also includes interior demolition and plaza renovations with removal of brick veneer site walls and new waterproofing of the public plaza. New brick walls and pavers, granite steps, a ramp, and landscaping will prepare the handicap-accessible space for visitors. The new center is located at a highly public intersection, with critical and sensitive tenant infrastructure located below the work area. Detailed coordination, planning, and scheduling is required to facilitate smooth execution with minimal disruptions for existing tenants of the building.
