The Curtis Institute of Music, a renowned conservatory in Philadelphia, neighbors Rittenhouse Square in a historic building that was once the residence of the Curtis family. INTECH renovated the interiors of the building to accommodate modern needs of the institution’s students. Demolition of the center core of the building made way for a new elevator and other accessibility upgrades, as well as new MEP systems throughout the structure. The historic spaces were updated with new lighting and an integrated sprinkler system. Restoration of the existing entrance lobby, with restored millwork and expertly finished wood flooring, highlights the craftsmanship that adorned the original residence.
